As the information is misleading, corrections must be done first as to protect the image of one self and the news agency. With the social media accounts linked to my personal preference, I will post an apology letter first while making corrections to the public. The post will be on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, with the apologies in the first paragraph, stating in the following paragraphs that the interview of Jho Low will not be held as the sources were not reliable to prove this certain event. If my news agency is cooperating with a TV channel, then the latest information about Jho Low’s interview can be broadcast to TV and online news platform, as the more channels the media can reach to, the quicker the audience can reach to the true info. Moreover, the news ticker from the news broadcast can be of help as the info can be published without interfering the proper news highlight. Having connections with other journalists will be beneficial here, as they can be helping to spread the word to to their news platform, bringing a quicker pace to correcting the false news of the interview.

With experience, the other journalists had also launched campaigns on fake news, bringing consciousness of fake news into not only the news agencies’ members’ minds, but also to the minds of the reading audience. Some journalists even apologized on their comment sections of their post. Connecting with other news agencies and other media platforms were also the experiences of the journalists, as the all media agencies are connected and should lend a hand in preventing issues like these to happen.
